The Balm Nude'tude Palette

Hello Beautiful!

How I get this Nude'tude Palette was interesting. I initially ordered this palette for my friend, when it arrived in my office and I open the palette, i found that the mirror was broken. Due to shipment policy, I cant return it because I didn't pay extra for insurance. So I tried to sell it on FB, and after a week no one seem interested with it, so I decided to have it for my self instead :D

So I am sure you've already heard about this wonderful palette. Nude'tude Palette has been around for a while now and been favorite for many bloggers as well. I have to say that the theme of this palette reminds me alot of Naked Palette from Urban Decay, which is neutral/nude palette.

Colors

This palette contains 12 shades: 8 shimmers and 4 mattes. The color range from a very light shade such as Sassy to a dark ones like Serious or Sleek. I have to say though, I am not really crazy with the color combination because I find it's lacking for medium colors. So either you are going to do a light eye look or a dark/bold look with this palette. My favorite shade from Nude'tude Palette is Sexy, which is a matte wine red shade. I rarely see this color from other palette, so I am pretty excited with it. My least favorite color has to be Snobby because it looks somehow tacky, at least for me. If I could have more color to this palette, I will definitely add taupe-ish or mauve-ish color, as I feel it would fill the medium shade that's almost non-existed from this palette.

Swatch and Texture

I didn't use primer when I swatched all the shades to my hand, and I think the color payoff for most of these shades are great. It's definitely comparable to Naked Palette. One color that's disappointing me is Silly. Silly it's the type of color that looks beautiful in the pan, but performs poorly on the lid because the color wont show up even though it's a deep shade. All the shimmer shades have a smooth and buttery texture as well as the matte ones.

1. Sassy, Stubborn, Snobby, Standoffish, Selfish and Seductive have a same shimmering texture with a metallic finish.

2.Sophisticate is a semi matte deep brown shades with noticeable glittesr. A bit powdery compare to the others.

3. Silly is another color with a noticeable gold glitters. It's a red wine shade and when I applied it on my lid, the glitter was scatterdly distribute (something that I am not very happy with).

4. Sultry, Sexy, Serious and Sleek are matte shades and have an exact same texture. For matte shades they are not powdery or chalky at all.

Packaging

This palette came out with a large mirror and a small dual ended brush which I rarely use because it's too stiff for me. The packaging is made from a cardboard with a magnetic closing which is very convenient for travel. It's a sturdy packaging that I assume it wont be ruined if i drop it to the floor, although it wont survive if I happen to sit on it :D (I mean, look at the mirror, I am pretty sure it's broken because something heavy was placed on top if it). The design itself is sleek, cute and girly. It's a type of palette that is fun to look at because of the design. This palette is wider but not as bulky as Naked Palette.

Overall, I think this palette is awesome. The quality is definitely there and I am not surprised so many people loving this palette. Yes, I experienced the fallout issue, but it's no biggie for me. This palette is also versatile and If I got asked better this or Naked Palette? I would say, if you have the budget, then go with Naked Palette just because I think the color combination is better, but If you decide to buy this instead, you wont be missing much.

palette ini better dari ud nakes anyway, lebih pigmented loh.. teksturnya pun lebih kece. sayangnya susah diblend :')

It is an absolutely beautiful palette, and I really like it!!. I cannot purchase this brand anywhere here, where I live, but I really wish I could get ahold of it as I know the balm products usually are quite effective and have quite great performance. Pity about the mirror, but it also happened to me with an Urban Decay palette is that makes of any consolation, haha!! ;)
