Review #15: Ciaté Chalkboard Manicure

Hi Beautiful!

Have you ever heard about Ciaté Chalkboard Manicure? Well, I haven't too actually, until my brother gave me this manicure set as present. Ciate Chalkboard manicure is the first nail kit which transforms your nails into a chalkboard canvas to play, sketch and doodle. How cool is that? I was so excited when i got this, so when I got home I asked my mom if I could apply this to her nails and she said yes!

Inside the kit:

1 Black Chalkboard Nail Polish

1 Mattnificent Matte Top Coat

4 Coloured Chalk Pens ( blue, yellow, pink, white)

Usage:

Begin with two coats of the matte black Ciaté Chalkboard Paint Pot onto clean dry nails.
Get your chalk pens ready by shaking and gently pressing the nib to a hard surface which will release the liquid chalk.
Once your nails are completely dry, select a chalk pen and gently press onto the nail to create your design.
Get ready to play! Sketch, doodle and squiggle to your heart’s content.
If you made a mistake, simply wipe down the nail with water and start again within 30 seconds.
Once you’ve done, allow to dry and seal in your chalk design with a topcoat of the enclosed Ciaté Mattnificent.

My Experience with Ciaté Chalkboard Manicure:

The Black chalkboard nail polish dry super fast on my nail, less than a minute.
Applying this manicure set wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. The yellow ink wont come out after I shook the pen. And when it finally out, it was leaking.
Another problem was the tip of the pen is too big and difficult to use for people with a short nail. For sure, I couldn't make any detailed manicure design with this.
Fixing the design is not as simple as wiping the nail with water. Other than pink, the rest of the colors would not budge.
From other reviews that I read, I can conclude this nail polish is not long lasting. Some even said the colors was chipped less than a day.
The black polish stains the nails. So I am not very happy with that.

Final thought, I have to admit the whole idea of this manicure kit is fun and interesting and people with artsy manicure skill would get more benefit using this Ciaté Chalkboard Manicure. On the other hand, people like me, will get nothing other than messy nails. If the tip of the pen is more pointy, I think I would get more luck, I am sure of that. Nevertheless, beside the leaking pen and the giant tip of the pen, I had so much fun with my mom playing this manicure kit. We felt like we back to kindergarten and learned how to coloring a book. Cheers!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

Hey girls,

I am sure you've heard so much about the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Solution Micellaire. This cleansing formula is no kidding. At first, I was skeptical about it. I mean what would be so different about a make up remover? As far as I knew, they all felt the same. But this product is really an opening eye.This Bioderma Sensibio H20 Sulution Micellaire is what I called innovation in make up remover world (ok, maybe I was a little bit overboard there, but I never tried anything like it before)

So Bioderma is described as a product that cleanses and removes make-up gently, soothes, and prevents irritation. Non rinsing, high skin and eye tolerance. Fragrance free and non-alcohol.

I think I would agree for most of what they claimed to be. But something that I want to highlight is how fresh it feels this product on my skin. Since it's water based, it feels likes like you actually pour water in your cotton pad and put it in your face. Nothing can beat that. And from my experience, Bioderma Sensinio H20 remove my make up quicker, with a very minimum swipe in my eye area, which is great because I don't really like to pull any of my skin

Direction for use:

Soak a cotton pad with Sensibio H20 and cleanse the face and eye and/or remove any make up. Repeat the application until the cotton pad remains clean.
Sensibio H20 actually needs no rinsing, but it is essential to dry your skin after you use it. But since I cant go to sleep before I wash my face, I always rinse my face with water after I use Sensibio H20.

Overall, I love love this Sensibio H20. Yes, I have to admit the price is pricey. For 100ml size, the price is around IDR 120,000. But it's worth to try and I would definitely going to purchase it again after I finish mine. I would also recommend this product for people with sensitive or dry skin. I bought mine in Guardian, but you can also get this product in Watson

Event Report: Beauty Blogger Gathering with Biokos and Caring Colours

Hey Girls!

I am back with an event report from Beauty Blogger Gathering with Biokos and Caring Colours. This event -with the support from Martha Tilaar Group - was held at March 29th, 2014 at Outback Steak in Kuningan City

This gathering was held as an appreciation from Martha Tilaar Group to Indonesian Beauty Bloggers, that always share and informative for local brand such as Martha Tilaar Group.

In this event we were introduced to two famous brand branch from Martha Tilaar Group, Biokos and Caring Colours. Caring Colours is addressed for modern and active female with various activity to reach an optimal appearance while doing daily routine. While Biokos, as we all may know, specialized in skincare and brought their latest technology to create a perfect skincare product for our skin.

11.00 Beauty bloggers started arriving at the venue, Outback Steak, Kuningan City
11.30 Event opening
12.00 Mingled with my new beauty bloggers friends, Putri, Iva, and Yuka, and suddenly a very special guest arrived.

12.05 Yep, Mrs. Martha Tillaar herself, showed up at the event! It was so amazing, it felt surreal! She stated a very important massage: to appreciate more local brand such as Marta Tilaar.

12.15 Lunch time! We got a special menu from the Outback Steak!

12.45 The presentation started

12.50. The first speaker, Ibu Edwina Waas, School Principle of Puspita Martha International Beauty School, gave us few examples of Beautypreuneur in Indonesia. And I have to admit, this field is quite tempting and very promising.

14.00 Second presentation from dr Astrid. She explained about the importance of knowing every ingredient in our beauty products. So insightful!

Why did you start blog about beauty?

I awals love writing and since 2 years ago I fall in love with make up too and started collecting them. So I thought why not combining two of my favorite hobbies together? Beauty blog is a perfect media for that.

If you could do some famous celebrity make up, who'd you pick?

I would pick Jennifer Lopez. why? because her make up never look boring. One day she looks sleek and sophisticated, the next day she looks like a hip hop diva. If you've seen her in American Idol, then you would know what I am talking about.

How do you store your make up collection

For now I don't store them, i just let them sprawl out all over my desk. But when i am not lazy, I put some of them in my make up kit

Well, I am very picky about this, after watching so many beauty video on YouTube, my list down to: MakeupByTifannyD, itsjudytime, Carah Amelie, and Pixiwoo

I think my favorite make up brand is NYX and Revlon, because many of my make up product are these brand
